FDA approved this drug for using in the kidney transplantation after phase I, II,
III wide clinical trail in 1995. It is also proved effective for heart, lung, and
liver transplantation in addition to kidney transplantation. It prevents pathological
changes of the transplanted organ. It is also proved effective in treatment
of autoimmune disease such as systemic lupus erythematosus.
